Who we are

APUA Innovation Oy (“APUA,” “we,” “us”) is a Finnish company registered in Helsinki, Finland. We operate the Apua.ai platform — a sovereign legal intelligence operating system for law firms and corporate legal departments.

Data we collect

We collect only what is necessary to provide our services:

• Account information — name, email address, company, and role when you sign up or request access.
• Usage data — anonymised analytics on how you interact with the platform, used solely to improve the product.
• Legal documents — contracts, filings, and other materials you upload for processing. These are processed exclusively within the EU and are not used for AI model training by default.
• Communication — messages you send us via contact forms or email.

How we use your data

• To provide, maintain, and improve the Apua.ai platform.
• To authenticate your identity and manage your account.
• To respond to your enquiries and provide support.
• To comply with legal obligations under Finnish and EU law.

EU data sovereignty

All data processed by Apua.ai is stored and processed exclusively within the European Union, in GCP europe-north1 (Finland). No tenant data transits outside the EU. This is an architectural and contractual guarantee, not a configuration setting.

Data sharing

We do not sell your data. We share data only with subprocessors necessary to deliver our services (cloud infrastructure, authentication), all of which operate under EU-compliant data processing agreements. A list of subprocessors is available on request.

Your rights

Under GDPR, you have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. You may also withdraw consent or object to processing at any time. To exercise these rights, contact us at:
